ShowTalk welcomes review invitations from artists, companies, producers and authorised press representatives with work in the official Voilà! Theatre Festival 2026 programme.
Through attentive, independent criticism, we hope to introduce readers to the stories, languages and theatrical approaches within the programme, and to reflect on the ideas each performance brings to the stage.
Introducing your work
Please include a short synopsis, some background on the production and principal creative credits, together with the official festival listing, venue, all performance dates, your preferred review performance and running time. Performance languages, subtitle or surtitle arrangements, age guidance and content notes are also helpful, along with a contact name, role and email address.
Our invitation template brings these details together. Anything still being finalised can follow later.

One email per production keeps the details together, with any updates in the same thread.
We welcome invitations as soon as performance arrangements are in place, giving us time to coordinate critics and dates. Please also mention any deadline for confirming press tickets.
Attendance and press tickets
We coordinate visits around our critics’ availability, performance languages and festival coverage. Our schedule may not allow us to accept every invitation.
When we can attend, we will agree the performance, attending critic, ticket name, number of tickets and collection arrangements with you. Press tickets can be arranged once the visit is confirmed; there is no need to hold seats or issue tickets beforehand.
Any changes to performance arrangements can follow in the confirmation thread. We will also let you know promptly if our plans change, so any seats no longer needed can be released.
Reviews and publication
ShowTalk reviews are written independently by the attending critic and reviewed by our editors, rather than submitted to productions for approval. Press tickets support attendance and do not influence opinions, ratings or publication arrangements.
Decisions on whether and when to publish take account of the critic’s observations and our writing and editing schedule. Questions about facts, credits or rights are always welcome, and we will look into them carefully.
Images, materials and contact details
A link to an existing press pack is welcome; you can simply let us know if images are not yet available.
For images you authorise ShowTalk to publish, please provide links or attachment filenames and the corresponding photographer or rights holder credits. Any third-party rights or uses requiring separate permission can be noted alongside the materials.
Trailer links help our editors learn about your production. Any additional permission to download, republish or otherwise use the footage can be noted with the link. A glossary of preferred translations or terminology is also welcome for our translators to refer to.
Contact details are used to manage the invitation, coordinate attendance and record the outcome. They will not be published with the article or added automatically to a marketing list.
