AWDPI Writing Workshop with Wenhan

✨ Writing as Awakening ✨

Writing Workshop with Wenhan poster

Event Details

Reclaim your story through the art of noticing. This is not a formal class, but a cozy playground for your memories and journey — a space to explore who we are through the small things that stay with us.

No writing experience is required. Just bring a relaxed heart and a curiosity for the “small things” that make us who we are.

What to Expect 🍊

We will start with playful games to build confidence before diving into sensory writing, using the scent and texture of an orange to spark raw, honest prose.

You will reflect on your journey, reimagine your life through the lens of mythology, and write a heartfelt letter to your past self. Through movement or spoken word, we will then transform these reflections into a shared experience, creating a safe space where our stories can truly breathe.

The Facilitator

Wenhan (MA, RCSSD) is an Applied Theatre practitioner who has led community workshops across London, Singapore, and China. A “grounded idealist” and self-proclaimed Short Rib Cooking Master, she blends professional expertise with warm energy to help you find your voice.

Writing as a Way Back to Ourselves

This workshop invites us to begin with everyday details and rediscover the connections between memory, body, and identity. Here, writing is not about judgement, performance, or producing something perfect. It is a practice of listening inward — and gently placing our stories back into our own hands.
